Murderer Riddle Answer & Bonus Joke

A murderer is condemned to death and his executioner decides to have some fun with him. He is asked to choose between three rooms. The first room is a raging furnace, the second is an acid bath, and the third room is full of lions who haven't eaten in 3 months. Which room does he pick?

The room with the lions - if they have not eaten in 3 months, they would be dead and thus not be a danger to anyone!

Hero or murderer?:

A tourist is visiting a town in Alabama, while out walking he sees a dog attacking a child. The dog is very vicious and the man has to kill it with a spade before it lets the child go.
A newspaper journalist who witnesses the events runs up to the man and says, ‘That was the bravest single thing I have ever seen. I'm going to write a story about that and my Headline will read, “Local man slays rabid beast”.’
‘Thank you,’ says the man, ‘but I’m not from here.’
The journalist replies, ‘Then the headline will be, “Southern hero saves child”.’
‘Actually, I’m from the South,’ replies the man, ‘I’m from New York.’
The morning headline read, ‘Yankee murderer executes family pet’.
