'What word am I' Riddle Answer

I am a seven letter word but if you remove four of my letters I will have one left? What word am I?

Her legs are so thin people keep tying messages to them.

A man onboard a passenger jet finds himself sitting next to a chirpy parrot. The man calls over the flight attendant and asks for a coffee. The parrot screeches, ‘And while you’re at it get me gin and tonic you fat whore!’
Moments later the air hostess returns with the parrot’s drink but forgets the man's coffee. So again the man asks for a coffee and the parrot screeches, ‘And while you’re there get me some peanuts you silly old cow.’
The hostess scuttles away and returns with the parrot’s peanuts but still no coffee.
The man again asks where his coffee is and the parrot screeches, ‘Now get me some water you bag of hot air!’
Immediately the hostess returns with a glass of water. By now the man is losing his patience as he still has no coffee. He decides to act like the parrot, ‘Listen you little trollop, get me some bloody coffee and pronto!’
The hostess has had enough and complains to the head steward. The man and the parrot are both thrown out of the plane. As they plummet towards the ground, the parrot says, ‘You’ve got a lot of guts for someone who can’t fly.’
